Hi,

Thanks to Dan Brickley we now have a foaf protocols mailing list to
discuss a number of things. I will be particularly interested in
discussing

    foaf+ssl
       sketched here: http://blogs.sun.com/bblfish/entry/foaf_ssl_creating_a_global
    foaf+openid
       sketched here: http://blogs.sun.com/bblfish/entry/the_openid_sequence_diagram
    rdfauth
       http://esw.w3.org/topic/SweoIG/TaskForces/CommunityProjects/knowee/Brainstorming

You can subscribe to this mailing list by going to
      http://lists.foaf-project.org/mailman/listinfo/foaf-protocols

By the way, there are already a couple of very simple
implementations of foaf+ssl that now prove that this is functional.
See Ian Jacobi's (aka pipian) python powered server
that has the following foaf file:

       http://www.pipian.com/rdf/tami/juliette

     which points to the protected

       https://www.pipian.com/rdf/tami/juliette-protected-location

There is also another server in Java on the sommer.dev.java.net .
More in this email

        https://sommer.dev.java.net/servlets/ReadMsg?
list=users&msgNo=313

There are a few issues both protocol wise and in the ontology
space that need to be worked out. But I'll wait till we have everyone
on the list before continuing.

	Henry

PS. I have been offline for a few days, as I was changing my service
provider, and had to spend a lot of time setting up email.
